芦洋村在嵩口镇政府的西南侧，离镇府约1公里。长庆溪从村中穿过，在村东头汇入流经村东侧的大漳溪。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

最初垦居此地的是卢姓族人，后来他姓也陆续迁入；村中有一片较大的田洋，“芦”与“卢”方言读音相近，于是称作芦洋。[1]

1984年，芦洋改设为嵩口镇芦洋村民委员会。1961年它是嵩口人民公社的芦洋生产大队，1958年归嵩口公社管理区。清代属和平乡英达里三十三都。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村中含芦洋、下寨、卢厝寨三个自然村，村民小组共21个；全村面积合计4195.1亩，林地为1932.2亩。[1]

文化[edit]

2016年12月，芦洋村列入「第四批中国传统村落」名录；2015年10月，入选「福建省第一批省级传统村落」。[1]
