源溪村位于福建省福州市闽清县下祝乡西北方向，距乡政府约5公里，全村面积4.5平方千米。[1]

村名经历过一次更改：该村位于洋边溪的上端，是溪流的发源地，原名「溪源」；1980年全县地名普查时，与本县三溪公社的溪源大队同名，于是改为「源溪」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代归奉政乡安仁里，元代为十九都之下的源溪村，明代合入二十都等诸都的统一图，清代属怀德乡源溪村，民国时为杉村乡洋前保。[1]

1950年隶前塘乡，1952年改为前洋乡；1958年与1959年分属火箭公社洋溪大队与东桥公社。1961年自洋边大队分出，单独设溪源大队；1973年并回洋溪，1977年再次分立。1984年后为乡属村委会。[1]
