尾厝村位于福建省福州市闽清县下祝乡东南方向，距乡政府约12公里，全村面积5.5平方千米。[1]

村名的来源是：该村处在杉村的尾端，故称「尾厝」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地先是杉村或杉林村大队的属地，自然村的身份一直延续到1975年。[1]

1977年才另设尾厝大队，归下祝公社管理。1984年乡政府成立后，尾厝改为乡属村委会，1988年改称尾厝村委会。[1]
