宝湖村位于桔林乡境内，村名来自村旁的一座人工湖[1]。

地名由来[edit]

村子原名马坑。古田溪四级水电站在此蓄水，形成一大片人工湖。1973年，闽清县委负责人到此地探望老游击区的“五老”人员，感叹此处已成一座宝湖，村名随之改为宝湖[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

同年，村中单独设立宝湖大队[1]。
