地名由来[edit]

相传此地早先归古田县管辖，县城周围划出一保、二保、三保，此村排为第四保，后来取谐音写作“宝”，于是称四宝[1]。

文化[edit]

村庄于2022年10月经福建省农业农村厅确认，成为第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇[1]。同年12月，本村被列入福州市中级版绿盈乡村名录（2022年度）[1]。2023年2月，本村被收入福建省高级版绿盈乡村第三批名单[1]。
