桔林乡位于福建省福州市闽清县东北部，乡政府驻四宝村[3]。乡境东与东桥镇相邻，南与雄江镇相连，其余边界与古田县接壤[3]。邮政编码为350816[5]。

历史沿革[edit]

宋代此地属奉政乡安仁里，元代分属二十三、二十四都，明代并入周边六个都的统一编制，清代归怀德乡管辖[2]。民国时期属埘坪乡。1961年单独设立桔林公社，1964年撤销，1977年恢复[2]。2000年底，闽清县辖七个乡，桔林乡为其中之一[4]。1984年，公社体制改设为乡，称桔林乡[2][3]。

1944年，中共闽东特委机关设在伴岭村，乡内留有当时的革命旧址[8]。

地理环境[edit]

乡境属闽清县东北部高山地区[3]。乡政府距县城43公里，316国道贯穿境内[1]。北部的汤兜村一带临近水口电站库区的桔林库湾[12]。

人口[edit]

2019年末，桔林乡户籍人口为9766人[3]。2020年人口普查统计的乡村人口为2464人[6]。

经济[edit]

乡内农业以水稻、红薯、柑桔和油柰为主[1]。2025年5月，桔林乡获得福州市2025年市级农业产业强镇的认定，以柑桔为主导产业[1]。

文化[edit]

2020年12月，桔林乡由福建省爱卫办授予福建省卫生乡镇称号[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

温汤村的温汤廊屋桥横跨温汤溪，是一座单跨木拱斜撑廊屋桥，清同治十三年（1874年）重修，2019年列为第六批县级文物保护单位[7][9]。乡内还有若干座古桥，分布于伴岭、温汤、后洋、关山、四宝、尚德等村，详见各村条目[9]。

伴岭村的长潭殿和桔林村的桔林境是清代始建的两座庙宇[10]。大明谷温泉景区位于温汤村[11]。
