前光村是闽清县三溪乡下辖的行政村，位于乡政府西南方向，距乡政府不到一公里。村名由两个旧地名各取一字而来：西山洋一带俗称前山，碓垅一带曾名光峰，合并为一村后各取一字，定名前光。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代此地属永宁乡孝顺里，元代不变，分都时归四都管辖。清代属旌良乡，民国时期属玉文镇三溪保。[1][3]

1955年划归坂东区三溪乡，1956年至1957年改属文定乡，1959年单独设立前光大队。1960年并入三溪大队，1961年归三溪公社前光大队；1964年三溪公社并入坂东公社，不久又恢复设立三溪大队。[1][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

村西有前光石蹬桥，以40块青石和卵石铺植于梅溪支流之上，全长25米。石蹬西翼以卵石砌成拦水陂，按古桥的记载，它属于我国古代最为简便的桥梁之一。[4]

文化[edit]

村内华侨众多，多分布于马来西亚，本村是三溪乡的重点侨乡之一。[1]

2022年12月，福建省爱卫办公示拟命名的「福建省卫生村」名单中列有前光村。[5]
