林中村位于上莲乡境内，村落四周森林茂密，原属后佳乡，2004年随后佳乡并入上莲乡[2]。
地名由来[edit]
村子四周是茂密的森林，村庄坐落在林子之中，因此名为「林中」。这一名称始于明清，沿用至今[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
明清时称上十二都兰墩。民国时这里归秋园保管，属双兰乡。1950年改设秋园乡，隶第四区。1959年此地设后佳大队，归池园公社；1960年并入佳头农场第三分场。1963年另设林中大队，隶后佳公社；1984年，这里改设村委会，归后佳乡人民政府管辖[1]。2004年后佳乡并入上莲乡[2]。
