佳头村位于上莲乡境内，地处山地之间，原为佳头乡驻地，2004年并入上莲乡[2]。
地名由来[edit]
村子坐落在群山之间的隔开处，原称「隔头」。后因「隔」与「佳」在当地方言中同音，且「佳」字更便于书写，改称「佳头」[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
明清时称十二都隔头村。民国时归秋园保，隶双芝乡。1950年设秋园乡，隶第四区，后又划入池园区。1956年当地成立隔头高级农业社；1958年办起佳头农场第一分场。1984年7月设乡，本村改称佳头村委员会，隶佳头乡。2004年7月28日，省政府批复撤销佳头乡，并入上莲乡[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2022年12月，本村列为2022年度福州市中级版「绿盈乡村」[1]。2023年2月，本村在福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村名单中上榜[1]。2024年1月，本村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」[1]。2025年11月，本村经认定，成为福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村[1]。
