后垅村位于云龙乡的中心地带，原名厚龙，因谐音而改称后垅，村委会驻后垅自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时这里隶属二都。民国年间设后庄保，归第一区白台乡管辖。[1]

1950年这里设立云龙乡，隶属第一区。此后1956年成立后垅高级农业生产合作社，1958年改置后垅大队并归红旗公社。[1]

1961年改属云龙公社，1964年又归白樟公社；1984年设村委会，仍属白樟乡；1987年重归云龙乡。[1]

近年来，村里先后获得多项省级荣誉：2015年10月入选「福建省第一批省级传统村落」；2020年12月被确定为「福建省第一批高级版绿盈乡村」；2021年11月被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2022年10月列入「第六批中国传统村落」，同月认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2025年3月被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
