朱山村的村名与朱熹有关。相传宋代理学家朱熹曾到村中设私塾讲学，明代乡人为纪念他，在村南山上建起朱子祠，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代属奉政乡安仁里。解放后，此地先在第二区溪芝乡之下，1954年起改由东桥区管辖并自成朱山乡，1956年重归溪芝乡。1958年才独立为朱山大队，隶属火箭公社；1959年转入东桥公社；1964年又合为一个朱山大队，此后没有大的变动。[2]

1984年，东桥乡政府设立，朱山成为该乡属下的村民委员会，1991年撤乡建镇后归东桥镇管辖。[2]
