大箬村位于闽江沿岸，闽江水在村境转了一个弯，合福高铁闽清北站设在村内。[2]村名源于村域内所产的箬竹，相传这种竹子叶片较大，端午节包粽子多用此叶，故称“大箬”。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地在1940年以前归闽侯县管辖，之后并入闽清。最初属梅城镇，其后经小樟、大樟两乡辖理，1948年又回到梅城镇的大安保。[1]

解放后，村境先后属一区、二区的大安乡，继而在东桥区管辖下沿用大安之名。1958年起归火箭公社，次年改隶东桥公社。村名数度更易：1960年称大箬大队，1961年改称大安，1963年一度分成五个大队，1964年再合为一个，1973年定名大箬大队，此后未再变动。[1]

1984年，东桥乡政府设立，大箬随之成为其属下的一个村民委员会。[2][3]
