1959年单独设立梅台大队，此后长期不变。[1]
1984年7月起村属雄江乡，1995年2月撤乡建镇后属雄江镇。[1][2]
2021年12月，村庄被确定为「2021年度福建省“一村一品”示范村」（脐橙）。[1]
