坪洋村位于塔庄镇境内，原名下洋，1980年改称坪洋。[1]
地名由来[edit]
因县内有同名大队，1980年改名坪洋，名称取自本村所辖的坑坪顶与下洋两个村落，各取一字而成。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明清称七都下洋。民国时属龙峰乡秀龙保，新中国成立初隶秀龙乡。1956年办起下洋高级社；1959年划出一个秀洋大队，1973年改设为下洋大队。[1]
1980年因县内重名，改名坪洋大队；1984年起改为坪洋村委会，1993年后隶属塔庄镇。[1]
