下庄村位于塔庄镇境内，因村子坐落在玉台山脚下而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清称七都下庄，民国设下庄保，隶龙峰乡。1950年划归黎濂乡，1956年办下庄高级社。1958年设下庄大队，归坂东公社。[1]

此后数年间，大队曾几度分合；1973年方才分为下庄、坪街、玉台三个大队，归塔庄公社。1984年起改为下庄村委会，1993年后隶塔庄镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，村子获命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
