梅坪村位于塔庄镇境内，村名由旧时村中坪上的一株大榕树而来，原称榕坪，后改为梅坪。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时称五都榕坪。民国时属龙峰乡，先后设榕坪保、梅限保、梅麟保。1950年归梅林乡，村名定为梅坪；1957年办起梅坪高级社。[1]
1958年梅坪大队划给坂东公社，次年才改归塔庄公社。1984年起改为梅坪村委会，1993年后隶属塔庄镇。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年4月，村子获评「2020年度福建省乡村振兴实绩突出村」；2022年10月，被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2022年12月，被确定为「2022年度福州市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
