莲宅村位于塔庄镇东南部，村名的来历有两种说法：一说村子建在莲花山麓，一说后山峰形似倒蒂莲花。[1][2]
村中保留有清代古厝建筑群，1947年，闽永人民游击队在此设立莲宅联络总站。1985年，村子被认定为革命基点村。[2][3]
历史沿革[edit]
明清称七都莲宅，民国时属龙峰乡莲东保。50年代初先后归溪东乡管辖，1956年并入塔庄乡的溪东高级社，1959年随溪东大队划入塔庄公社。[3]
1973年才单设莲宅大队，同样归塔庄公社。1984年起改为莲宅村委会，1993年后隶属塔庄镇。[1][3]
革命历史[edit]
1947年6月，中共闽中地委派人到七都莲宅，设立闽永人民游击队莲宅联络总站。此后，联络站在县内陆续发展了十二个联络分站，并在白色恐怖时期承担接头、筹款、掩护与支前等工作。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2021年10月，村子入选「2021年福建省金牌旅游村」名单；2021年11月，获命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2021年12月，被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」；2022年10月，被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1][2]
