宝新村是池园镇下辖的行政村。村子由原宝山、新厦洋两个自然村合并而成，村名各取两村名中的一字，据博雅地名网所载[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
明清时期，此地称十一都新厦洋。民国年间归双芝乡管辖，1950年划入第四区。1956年成立宝新高级农业生产合作社；1958年以宝新榜样队的形式归入池园公社；1973年独立成为大队。1984年7月，此地改设村委会，隶属池园镇[1]。
