潘亭村是池园镇下辖的行政村。村名的由来，相传早年潘、陈、杨三姓同居此地，起初称作潘陈杨，后因“陈”与“亭”两字方言读音相近，演变为潘亭洋[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代此地称十一都潘亭洋。民国年间设宝亭保，归双芝乡管辖。1950年成立保亭乡，划入第四区。1958年并入池园公社，1961年另立潘亭大队；1984年7月起改组为村委会，归池园镇领导[1]。

2022年12月，福建省绿化委员会授予潘亭村2022年福建省森林村庄的称号[1]。2023年12月，村里以槟榔芋入选福州市2023年市级“一村一品”专业村名单[1]。2023年，福建省爱卫办公示拟命名潘亭村为福建省卫生村，博雅地名网则记其于2024年1月获得2023年福建省卫生村的称号[1][2]。2024年2月，潘亭村进入第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇的创建范围[1]。
