池园村是池园镇下辖的行政村，村名与镇名相同，两者的来历见池园镇条[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代，此地称十一都池园村。民国年间设池园保，归双芝乡所辖。1950年成立池园乡，划入第四区，之后该区又更名为池园区。1958年组建池园大队，归池园公社管理；自1984年7月起，此处设为村委会，并纳入池园镇[1]。

2021年11月，池园村获福建省爱卫办授予2021年福建省卫生村的称号[1]。2023年12月，村里以油茶入选福州市2023年市级“一村一品”专业村名单[1]。
