保林村是福建省福州市闽清县白中镇下辖的行政村，村名与先人护林的做法有关[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

宋代，一批先人从坂东迁入，多为刘姓。当地山林茂密，先民在开垦耕地之余注意保护森林，村名因此定为“保林”[1]。

明清时称十五都保林里；民国时设保汀保，隶属清溪乡。1950年设福林乡，归第三区；1956年组建高级社，1958年建保林大队，归红旗公社；1959年划入白中公社，1984年成立保林村委会，隶属白中乡[1][2]。
