白樟镇是福建省福州市闽清县下辖的镇，距县城约11公里，镇域地形以丘陵为主。[1][3]

镇名由解放后白南、樟山两村各取一字而来，此前镇政府所在的村原名白云渡。[5]

镇内的白云山横跨白樟、雄江、梅溪三镇，山上的白云寺与白云山石碑均为县级文物保护单位，都在白云村境内。[6][7][8]

历史沿革[edit]

民国初年，这一带属县内第一区第一团，编在十六都的地界之内，其中部分地方则归四区六团管辖。[2]

1940年，镇域分属白台、渡洋、金沙、半岭四个乡。[2]

新中国成立后，1950年建乡，白樟、白洋等四乡归第一区；1957年撤区并乡，白樟乡与云龙乡改由县直接管辖。[2]

1958年组成红旗公社，次年分设白樟、金沙、白中三个公社。[2]

1984年撤销人民公社建制，改设白樟乡人民政府；1987年8月，白樟乡有9个村划出，另设云龙乡。[2][4]

建镇的年份有两种说法：博雅地名网的沿革写作1993年改为建镇制，百度百科则写作1992年撤乡设镇。[2][3]

2024年1月，白樟镇获「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」称号，此前福建省爱卫办的拟命名名单公示中已列入该镇。[1][9]

地理环境[edit]

白樟镇辖区面积，博雅地名网作80.8平方千米，百度百科作91平方千米，两家的数字均未注明统计年份。[1][3]

梅溪自池埔村入境，金沙溪流经小园村。[3]

白云山主峰位于白云村，海拔约1267米，山顶有天池凤凰湖，常有云雾升腾。[6]

百度百科载，截至2019年末，白樟镇户籍人口为18936人。[3]

第七次全国人口普查（2020年）的乡村年龄构成表中，白樟镇乡村人口为12758人。[10]

名胜古迹[edit]

白云山地跨白樟、雄江、梅溪三镇，山上的寺庙与石刻位于白云村境内，详见该村条目。[6]
