梅埔村在梅溪镇东北部，东侧濒临闽江，西南方向与闽侯县相接。村名来自旧时当地多种梅花，中间又有一片较大的平地，旁边有个池塘。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时梅埔属一都界内。民国时期归第一区梅城镇下的梅鳌保管辖；1950年，梅埔改隶渡口乡。1958年组建大队，隶英雄人民公社，次年归梅城公社，1981年划入梅溪公社。1993年撤乡改镇，村委会随之隶属梅溪镇政府。[2]

1992年，梅埔村被省政府授予「明星村」称号。[2]

人口民族[edit]

据百度百科所载，2013年梅埔村户籍人口为2465人，村辖5个自然村。[4]

经济[edit]

橄榄是村里的主要产业。梅埔村于2022年12月被确定为福建省「一村一品」专业村，主导产业是橄榄。[1]

2022年10月，村庄被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

2024年1月，村庄被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」；同年2月，又被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

梅埔石拱桥位于下梅埔自然村北面，在116县道南侧的山坡下。桥身南北向，拱跨3.8米，桥宽3.3米，桥长17.5米，桥堍以毛石垒筑。[3]
