榕星村是梅溪镇下辖的行政村。1972年，榕院大队析出其中六个自然村另立大队，内有岭头、格洋等村落。队名初定为「榕升」，因“升”与“星”同音，最终改作「榕星」。[1]

经济[edit]

村庄以橄榄为主导产业。2023年12月，榕星村被认定为福州市2023年市级「一村一品」专业村（橄榄）；2024年11月，又被认定为2024年度福建省「一村一品」专业村（橄榄）。[1]

榕星村先后三次入选淘宝村名单：2020年9月由阿里研究院公布，2021年10月由南京大学空间规划研究中心与阿里研究院联合发布，2022年10月公布。[1]
