梅城镇是福建省福州市闽清县下辖的镇，全镇辖10个居委会和2个村委会。[1][5]

闽清县人民政府驻地在镇境内的城关村，镇区位于梅溪出口与闽江交汇的一带。[13][2]

旧时梅溪沿岸多植梅花，县城一带因此称作梅城，镇名由此而来。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期镇区人口不足千人，街巷多为土路。1940年（民国二十九年）设县辖梅城镇。1949年8月梅城获得解放，此后归第一区管辖并设为镇，1958年1月全县撤区并乡。[2]

1956年，镇区先后建成南山、桂园和过龙山3个新村，西门路两侧也建起住宅。[3]

1982年8月，城关镇更名为梅城镇。[12]

1984年，梅城大桥建成通车，梅溪两岸连成一体。[3]

2015年2月，中央文明委授予梅城镇第四届全国文明村镇称号。[2]

2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，梅城镇三次上榜淘宝镇名单。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

闽清文庙位于城南北大街中段西侧，始建于北宋景德四年（1007年），现存建筑为清咸丰十一年（1861年）所建，占地2100平方米，是县内保存规模最大的庙宇建筑。1981年公布为县级文物保护单位，2013年公布为福建省第八批省级文物保护单位。[4][8][9]

1939年，中共闽江工委和闽清工委的干部以文庙为据点，组建「战时民教流动工作队」，在庙内开展抗日宣传。[9]

台山石塔位于台山公园内，相传始建于唐代；1546年（明代嘉靖年间）曾经重建，1987年又经修缮。石塔为八角空心，外用花岗石砌筑，1981年列为县级文物保护单位。[6][7]

台山公园1986年建成，占地25公顷，园内建有19座亭、台、楼、阁。[3]

闽清县革命烈士陵园位于洋桃一带、梅溪岸边，1963年9月始建，占地6200平方米。[10][2]

龙江书院在县实验小学校园内。据《闽清县志》，它即旧时的文昌阁，清康熙十年建于仙源道观旧址；清光绪甲申之岁，邑令丁公倡议捐募重建。[4]

「城关昭显庙」位于县城南面的榕树墩，俗称将军庙或南庙，供奉闽王王审知的爱将陈姓四将军。民国年间旧庙圮毁，今庙于1994年异地重建，2010年再次重建。[11]
