廪头村位于碧里乡东北部，东面与溪边村相连，西面邻近梅花村，南临罗源湾，北面靠着碧岩寺所在的山[1]。村子离乡政府约8公里，到县城有28公里路程[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是：清代这一带称王廪铺，村子设在此处，遂以廪头为名[3]。村子在1984年改为村委会，此前的大队于1961年自他处分出而设，而1952年曾设过廪头乡[4]。

地理环境[edit]

全村总面积25平方千米，其中陆域约20平方千米，村民多靠海域养殖谋生[2]。

人口民族[edit]

2014年，全村为350户、1235人[5]。

经济[edit]

村子以渔业为主，养殖鲍鱼、蚶、蛏，并种植海带、紫菜；海产品运销华北、华东及东南亚各地[2]。

文化[edit]

村内的忠烈庙始建于明代，庙中供有忠烈尊五神像。庙内还保存着一座古玉石雕香炉，已由罗源县文物局定为县保护文物[2]。村中现存清代古居二十多座，另有祠堂、老街、旧港和水池[2]。2000年，村子在福州市爱卫会的评比中获得农村卫生方面的先进称号；2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名其为「2021年福建省卫生村」[1]。
