碧里乡位于罗源县东部，濒临罗源湾北岸，西接松山镇，北邻鉴江镇，南隔罗源湾与连江县的马鼻、坑园两镇相望[2]。乡政府驻碧里村。罗源县政府网站载其面积为199平方千米[1]，沿海一带是村落与养殖海区，西北部则以山地为主。

历史沿革[edit]

宋元丰四年（1081年），连江县的招贤里划归罗源管辖，此后这片土地先后属贤一里、贤二里[4]。民国二十年（1931年）罗源设立五个区，碧里乡是第二区区公所的驻地[1]。解放后，这里先属第三区，1955年9月第三区改称碧里区[1]。1958年5月撤区并乡，碧里成为新设的21个乡之一[1]，同年10月改设碧里公社[4]。1965年7月，原先分设的几个小公社合并为碧里公社[4]。1984年9月起，全县撤销人民公社、改设乡镇，碧里公社于是成为碧里乡[1][4]。

地理环境[edit]

乡境在罗源湾北岸的半岛上，多山地，沿海一带是村落与养殖海区。罗源县政府网站载其乡政府所在地海拔约10米[1]。百度百科记该乡面积为100.68平方千米，与县政府网站所载不同，本条以县政府网站为准[2]。

人口民族[edit]

据百度百科，截至2019年末，全乡户籍人口为25739人[2]。

经济[edit]

农业以水稻和红薯为主，海域则用于养殖海带、紫菜、贻贝、蛏、蛤和蚶[3]。山地上有林场，当地的羊种“下廪羊”也有名[3]。

名胜古迹[edit]

碧岩寺的殿宇依托一处天然岩洞而建，洞顶盖着半封闭的大石，寺址在贵山半腰，唐咸通年间（860年至874年）已有寺院。据百度百科，寺内的“碧岩飞雪”泉景是罗源八景之首[5]。寺里还留有乾隆年间的诗碑与寺志碑[5]。
