大王里村是福州市罗源县霍口畲族乡下辖的行政村，位于乡境西北部，村名与村中的大王庙有关。[1][4]

地名由来[edit]

早先村内建有大王庙，村子因此取名。据百度百科，村内如今还留有明代大王庙的遗址。[1][3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

明代属黄重里，清末属重下里；民国时期归罗源四区，又隶宦船保（后改属福丰宦船保）。1950年属王廷洋乡，1958年成为霍口公社王廷洋大队的一部分。1961年分出大园里大队；“文革”期间一度改称「团结」，1980年恢复大园里之名，1983年起恢复大队管委会，1984年才改为村委会。[2][4]

人口民族[edit]

据百度百科，2012年本村人口为817人，其中畲族418人。[4]

文化[edit]

2024年6月，本村入选「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单；2022年12月，被确定为「2022年福建省森林村庄」；2021年11月，被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2021年8月，被确定为「罗源县第四轮第二批（2020年）平安村（社区）」。[1]

人物[edit]

蔡义淼（1912－1939）为本村人。1936年参加闽东红军，任独立师战士，后编入新四军三支队六团北上抗日。1939年，他在渡江北上、创建苏皖根据地的战斗中牺牲。[5]
