东园亭村是福州市罗源县霍口畲族乡下辖的行政村，位于乡境西南部，西与连江县接壤。村名来自村前的一座凉亭。[1][4]

地名由来[edit]

村前原有一座凉亭，称作「东园亭」，村名由此而来。[3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

民国年间，本地先后隶属第四区、第三区，并入福丰乡。1950年改属山垄塆乡，1952年又划入岐峰乡。1958年以后作为岐峰大队的一部分归霍口公社；1961年另立东园亭大队。1965年取消区建制，仍在霍口公社之内。“文革”时期称大队革委会，1983年起恢复大队管委会，1984年才改为村委会。[2]

文化[edit]

2024年1月，本村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」；2021年8月，被确定为「罗源县第四轮第二批（2020年）平安村（社区）」。[1]
