墩厝村位于西兰乡东部，下辖5个自然村，村域内有石材企业和矿山。县政府的行政区划一览列有此村，名称为墩厝村。[3]
地名由来[edit]
解放初期村公所设在郑厝坪一处叫洋垱厝的地方，地名先称垱厝，之后变成墩厝，村委会的名称由此得来。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时期此地归第三区管辖，并属凤寿乡。1950年设垱厝乡，隶属第五区；1955年并为西兰一乡。1958年划入飞竹公社的西兰大队，1961年分出成为独立的大队，归飞竹区西兰公社。1984年改设村委会，属西兰乡。[1][2]
荣誉[edit]
2022年12月，墩厝村获得「2022年福建省卫生村」称号，认定机构为福建省爱国卫生运动委员会。[3]
