地名由来[edit]
村子位于寿桥溪一条支流的南面，过去被叫作溪南。村东住的是雷姓人家，本村多为蓝姓，两姓各据一边，于是合称「西蓝」，后来简写成西兰。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
此地在明代至清末归梅溪里管辖。民国时期隶属第三区，又划入凤寿乡。1950年，村内设立西兰乡，归第五区；1958年改为西兰大队，划入飞竹公社。1984年起成为村委会，仍属西兰乡。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年11月，村庄入选福建省2024年度「一村一品」专业村名单，产业为茶叶。2024年1月，村庄获得「2023年福建省卫生村」称号。2020年6月，村庄入选罗源县第四轮第一批（2019年）「平安村（社区）」名单。[1]
