盾后村是洪洋乡下辖的行政村，村依山坡而建，辖1个自然村，以毛竹垦复、水稻种植和蔬菜果蔬种植为主要生计。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历，据博雅地名网所载：村子依山坡而建，背后的山峰高峻，如屏障列立，起着古代兵器盾的作用，故名盾后。[1]
明至清末，本村属罗平里。1950年归二区管辖，1958年设盾后大队，隶起步公社。1961年复区分社，本村属起步区的一个公社；1965年归洪洋公社。“文革”期间设大队革委会，1983年恢复管委会名称，1984年起改设村委会，仍属洪洋乡。[1]
文化[edit]
福建省爱国卫生运动委员会于2022年12月命名本村为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
