历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历，据博雅地名网所载，村落散布在四面环山的谷地里，故名穴里，村委会也因此得名。[1]
明至清末，本村属化二里。1950年归二区管辖。1958年设穴里大队，隶起步公社。1961年再设区，本村归起步区的一个公社；1965年撤区并社，改归洪洋公社。“文革”期间改为革委会式的大队班子，1983年恢复管委会名称，1984年起改设村委会，仍属洪洋乡。[1]
经济[edit]
村民依托丰富的毛竹资源，调整产业结构，发展竹制品加工；农业以种植中稻、地瓜为主，兼种花生、秋大豆与各种蔬菜。外出从事石材行业的村民也不少。[2]
文化[edit]
福建省爱国卫生运动委员会于2022年12月命名本村为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
