历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历，据博雅地名网所载：村旁有一道岭，昔日两旁林木茂盛，岭边树根密布，称为树根岭。因方言中“树”的读音近于“秋”，后写作秋根岭，再简称秋岭。[1]
文化[edit]
福建省爱国卫生运动委员会于2022年12月命名本村为「2022年福建省卫生村」。同月，福建省农业农村厅确定本村为「2022年度福建省一村一品专业村」，主导产业为蛋鸡养殖。2023年11月，本村被命名为「2023年度福州市绿盈乡村建设中级版村庄」。[1]
