洪洋乡在福州市罗源县中北部，是县内的一个乡：东面靠着起步镇，北与西北和中房镇相连，南与西南同西兰乡交界。全乡辖18个行政村，面积70.49平方千米，东部地势较为平坦，南北多为丘陵。境内蕴藏花岗岩，石材加工是当地的主要工业。[1][3][4]
历史沿革[edit]
乡名的来历，据博雅地名网所载，古时此地河床狭窄，山洪一来便排泄不及，田地常被水淹，故称洪洋。[1]
民国38年9月，洪林与河阳两区并为第二区，区政府落户洪洋。[3]
1958年5月撤区并乡，洪洋列入当年划定的二十一个乡。1965年7月裁区并社，洪洋改设人民公社，博雅地名网另记1967年曾设革命委员会。1984年9月，全县的人民公社都改为乡镇，洪洋公社随之改称洪洋乡。[1][3]
地理环境[edit]
洪洋乡位于罗源县中北部。罗源县行政区划表列其面积为70.49平方千米，海拔55米；百度百科记面积为70.11平方千米，此处取有年份的县政府数据。[3][4]
乡境东部地势较平，南北多丘陵，最高峰为帽顶山，海拔300至400米。主要河流是洪洋河。[4][5]

据百度百科，截至2019年末，全乡户籍人口为13275人。[4]
经济[edit]
乡内花岗岩资源丰富。据博雅地名网，66号与665号花岗岩的储量约为3亿立方米；竹林也多，毛竹的蕴藏量约有300万根。[1]
石材加工是本乡的主要工业，洪洋溪北岸设有一处工业集中区。农业以水稻、地瓜和蔬菜为主，食用菌、油茶等也有发展。[2][4]
文化[edit]
福建省爱国卫生运动委员会于2022年12月命名本乡为「2022年福建省卫生乡镇」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
王认桥在王认村，为石梁桥，宋绍兴三年（1133年）所建，出资人为陈杲，是县级文物保护单位。桥以花岗岩砌成，东西向，三孔两墩，桥身长22米、宽3.7米、高4.8米，栏板上有动物浮雕。2001年，该桥入选第三批罗源县文物保护单位。[6][7][8]
