历史沿革[edit]
明至清末，此地属梅溪里；民国时期分属第二区，并隶凤寿乡双钟保。1950年属五区九溪乡，1958年归城关公社九溪大队。1961年另立大项大队，划入城关区白塔公社；1965年并入城郊公社，1966年改隶白塔公社。“文革”期间大队曾改为革委会，1983年改回大队管委会，1984年改设村委会，隶属白塔乡。[1][2]
文化[edit]
福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予大项村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2022年10月，福建省农业农村厅将大项村认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
