历史沿革[edit]
“应德”之名见于清道光九年的《罗源县志》，村委会的名称亦由此而来。[1]
明至清末，此地归梅溪里；民国时期分属三区，并隶凤寿、凤石等乡。1950年设应德乡，隶属五区。1958年改称应德大队，划归城关公社。1961年改属城关区应德公社，1965年纳入城郊公社，1966年改隶白塔公社。“文革”期间大队曾改为革委会，1983年恢复大队管委会，1984年改为村委会，隶属白塔乡。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
中共罗源县应德支部旧址在村内，1930年有罗源人经中共连江县委书记杨而菖介绍入党，1931年5月全县党员发展到十余人后，于应德设立了支部。详见白塔乡条目。[2]
文化[edit]
2022年12月，福建省爱卫办命名应德村为「2022年福建省卫生村」；2024年6月，村庄入选「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]
