长基村为福州市罗源县白塔乡的一个行政村，村庄沿溪呈条状分布，聚落东西走向，溪边砌有石堤防洪，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明至清末，此地归梅溪里；民国时期分属三区，并隶凤寿、凤石等乡。1950年隶属百丈乡，1952年析出设立长基乡，仍归五区。1958年撤区改社，乡改为长基大队，划归城关公社。1961年复区分社，改属城关区应德公社。1965年归入城郊公社，1966年隶白塔公社。“文革”时期大队曾设革委会，1983年改回大队管委会，1984年成为村委会，隶属白塔乡。[1]

2022年12月，福建省爱卫办命名长基村为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
