远顶村在鉴江镇西北面的山里，是一个畲族村，下设远顶、田里、土洞、郑家山、西山五个自然村。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村子建在山上，早先的居民姓阮，“阮”与“远”在方言中同音，因此称远顶。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明至清末，此地隶贤二里；民国时属第二、第一两区，并隶鉴匹镇。[1]
1950年划入第三区鉴江乡，次年改隶鉴江镇。1958年撤区改社，归碧里公社的鉴江大队。1961年复区撤社，另设远顶大队，隶碧里区鉴江公社。[1]
1984年改为村委会，仍属鉴江镇。[1]
人口与搬迁[edit]
博雅地名网载，全村总126户、594人，未注明统计年份。土地总面积3.0平方千米，耕地377亩。[1]
自2002年起，上级部门予以支持，村民陆续经造福搬迁迁入鉴江敦园里的远顶新村，迁出的边远山区群众共60户339人。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年6月，村子入选「罗源县第四轮第一批（2019年）“平安村（社区）”」名单。2021年11月，村子获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号，由福建省爱卫办命名。2022年12月，村子入选「2022年度福州市中级版“绿盈乡村”」。[1]
