丰余村在飞竹镇中北部，离城关大约44公里，沿142县道可以到达。全村辖丰余、林社2个自然村，是老区基点村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清顺治十七年（1660年）前后，有人从浙江平阳迁居此地，村名取丰收有余之意。[1]

自明至清末此地属重下里。民国时期属第四、第三区，分属福丰、丰深等乡。1950年设丰余乡，属第四区。[1]

1952年改归第八区，1955年划入洋柄区。1958年改设大队，归飞竹公社。1961年恢复区制，属飞竹区丰余公社；1965年又回到飞竹公社。[1]

文革期间改称大队革委会，1983年仍称大队管委会，1984年改为村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

2015年10月，本村入选「福建省第一批省级传统村落」。2010年，本村被评为市级生态村。[2]

2024年1月，本村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
