潘洋村位于飞竹镇中部，从城关出发，沿142县道约35公里即到。全村辖潘洋、新洋、廷洋3个自然村，属水源保护区域范围，外出人口较多。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村内有「永镇龟山，泽沛潘溪」的题句，村落地势平坦，因此名为潘洋。[1]

明清时期属重下里。民国时期属第四区，后并入丰深等乡。解放初期先属四区、八区，后划入洋柄区，设潘洋乡。[1]

1958年成立潘洋大队，隶属飞竹公社；1961年改归丰余公社管辖；1965年又回到飞竹公社。[1]

文革期间改称大队革委会，1983年仍称大队管委会，1984年更名为潘洋村委会，隶属飞竹镇。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以传统农林生产为主，发展毛竹产业。近年有不少村民外出，部分人在新疆经营石材业。[2]

文化[edit]

2010年，本村被评为市级生态村。2024年1月，本村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1][2]
