马洋村位于飞竹镇中部，距城关约30公里。全村辖马洋、祥洋、王新坑3个自然村，为汉畲混居的老区基点村，2009年被评为省级生态村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村中有一块巨石，立在田洋之中，形状仿佛一匹马，村名由此而来。[1]

明清时期此地属重上里。民国时期先后属第四、第三区，之后分别隶属凤寿、飞梧、寿竹等乡。解放后归五区、八区，又划入洋柄区。[1]

1958年曾隶属飞竹乡，同年改设大队，归飞竹公社。1961年分出另设马洋大队，属飞竹区飞竹公社；1965年仍属飞竹公社。[1]

文革期间改称大队革委会，1983年仍称大队管委会，1984年改为村委会，隶属飞竹镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村中毛竹林面积较大，并种有乌龙茶和油茶。王新坑自然村内建有生态公园。[2]

文化[edit]

2024年1月，本村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。2021年8月，本村列入罗源县第四轮第二批（2020年）「平安村（社区）」。[1]
