蛤蟆石村在飞竹镇东南角，从城关出发，沿143县道行约23公里即可抵达。全村辖4个自然村，属畲族行政村，也是老区基点村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名来自附近的两块石头，二石的形状都像蛤蟆。[1]
明清两代此地归梅溪里管辖。民国时它分属第四、第二两区，又并入凤寿、寿竹等乡。[1]
解放初，村地先隶属第五区洋柄乡，1955年改归洋柄区。1958年撤区并社后，这里改为大队并入飞竹公社。1961年独立成立蛤蟆石大队，1965年又回到飞竹公社。[1]
文革期间大队曾改名红卫大队，1980年恢复蛤蟆石之名。1984年改为村委会，隶属飞竹镇。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村内有溪下电站，是镇里的主要水电站之一。[1]
文化[edit]
2021年11月，本村获评「2021年福建省卫生村」。2022年10月，福建省农业农村厅将本村认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2021年8月，本村列入罗源县第四轮第二批（2020年）「平安村（社区）」名单。[1]
