历史沿革[edit]
宋元时期，今飞竹镇一带属同乐乡，设黄重里上、下图；明清时改图为里，称重上里和重下里。[4]
1931年此地属第四区，此后曾分属第二区、第三区。抗日战争时期辖区多次调整，先后并入福丰、丰深、寿竹等乡。[4]
1955年，原第五区的飞竹乡析为飞竹、梧桐两乡。1958年设飞竹公社，1965年撤区并社后仍称飞竹公社。[1][4]
1984年人民公社改为乡，1994年3月飞竹乡改为飞竹镇。[1]
镇名的来历，据博雅地名网所载有两种说法：一说当地原本无竹，后有竹子从邻村飞来并生根成林；另一说八仙中的韩湘子经过此地，将仙笛掉落山间，竹子由此繁衍。[2]
地理环境[edit]
飞竹镇位于罗源县西部，东面与西兰乡、中房镇为邻，西接霍口畲族乡，南与连江县接壤，北与古田县相交。[3]
镇域面积，罗源县人民政府行政区划表所载为119.56平方千米；百度百科所载为120.79平方千米，两者不同，此处取前者。镇境海拔为315米。[1][3]
境内以林地为主，毛竹林分布较广。斌溪是镇内最大的河流，属敖江流域，村中建有斌溪电站。[2][7]
人口民族[edit]
截至2019年末，全镇户籍人口为16002人。[3]
镇内有畲族居住。官路下村的外湾厝为纯畲族自然村，官路下、梧桐、马洋等行政村为汉畲混居村。[8][9][10]
经济[edit]
镇内以农林业为主，毛竹、油茶、乌龙茶等是常见的种植作物。福建七境茶业有限公司是全镇乌龙茶产业的龙头企业之一，设在飞竹村。[6]
2023年12月，飞竹镇入选「福州市2023年市级农业产业强镇」，主导产业是水稻。[2]
洋柄村三望洋一带是镇内石材加工的集中区。[11]
文化[edit]
罗源西洋宫供奉陈靖姑、林九娘和李三娘，三人合称「三奶夫人」。宫庙与陈靖姑信俗相关，据百度百科，每年农历九月举行信俗活动，2019年起办陈靖姑文化节。[5]
2014年9月，环境保护部为飞竹镇授予「2012年—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」称号。2020年12月，飞竹镇获「福建省卫生乡镇」称号，由福建省爱卫办命名。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
宫中留有陈靖姑的八角形石墓，以及龙井、虎井等遗迹。1995年后，台胞和信众捐资重建，形成三进两院的建筑群。西洋宫于2024年12月被选入「福州市第二批台胞寻根示范点」，陈靖姑墓则于2007年被定为罗源县文物保护单位。[5]
