中房村是福建省福州市罗源县中房镇下辖的行政村，位于罗源县西北部，距城关约35公里。它是镇内规模最大的行政村，镇中心设在本村，也是全镇经济与贸易较为集中的地方。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

相传古时松洋人兄弟三人分家，兄弟依长幼排行，成家后各立门户，分称东房、中房、三房。老二迁居此地，故称中房，村名由此而来。[1]

村子古时也泛称“河洋”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明至清末，村地属丰下里；民国时分属五区、二区，并入河洋乡。1949年9月划归二区，1950年成立中房乡，隶属二区。1955年改划入中房区。1958年撤区设社，此地更名为中房大队，归中房公社。[1]

1961年复设区级建制，村地仍在中房区的中房公社内，1965年又回到中房公社。1984年村委会建立，隶属中房乡。[1]

经济[edit]

村中有石材加工厂、竹制品加工厂和茶叶加工厂。农业以水稻、甘薯、反季节果蔬、茶叶和竹木为主，养殖兔、羊、鸡、鸭等。村中的工艺茶叶、本地禽畜、竹笋、茭白和绿色果蔬是主要土特产。[2]

公共设施[edit]

村中设有中心小学、中学、卫生院，并有集市、文化、体育和娱乐设施。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2022年10月，村被认定为福建省第二批乡村治理示范村镇。2020年6月，村入选罗源县第四轮第一批「平安村（社区）」，评定年度为2019年。2024年1月，村获得福建省卫生村称号（2023年度）。[1]
