地名由来[edit]
村子临溪。过去附近山头的木材从山上滑到溪边，再借溪水运出，当地人称这个地方为“港”，村子在“港”之西，村名因此而来。[1]
历史人文[edit]
清代雍正年间，李氏先人迁居港里，至今已有二百六十余年。村中曾出过一名进士，立有牌匾，另有一名贡生，村中现存贡生牌匾与两合旗杆。[2]
村中的李氏大厝由土、木、砖构成，据博雅地名网，共有一百二十间房，七回廊、八书院，是罗源县保存最大的古民居之一。厅内梁上刻有花纹，并绘有历史人物画卷。[2]
自然景观[edit]
村子四面环山，村对面的山峰名为马头峰，正面看如一匹骏马俯首待命，故有「马峰献瑞」之称。[2]
村前溪流缓缓流过，浅处游鱼可见，深处碧水幽静。行人潭、将军潭一带是岱溪的发源地。溪边建有北极真武大帝庙，香火延续至今。[2]

村中林木蓄积量较大。村中水资源丰富，适合发展水电和淡水养殖。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时村地属化一里；民国时分属四区、三区，并归河洋、丰深等乡。1950年设港里乡，隶属二区；1952年改归八区，1955年改归中房区。[1]
1958年撤区设社，此地成为港里大队，属中房公社；1961年又设区，划入中房区深坑公社；1965年撤区，仍归中房公社。1984年村委会建立。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，村获评福建省卫生村（2021年度）。[1]
