中房镇是福建省福州市罗源县下辖的镇，位于县境西北部，辖23个行政村。全镇地势多山，平均海拔约500米，中房溪、百丈溪等河流流经境内。镇内的陈太尉宫为全国文物保护单位，中房林氏祖厅旗杆林为福建省级文物保护单位。[1][2][3]

地名与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网的记载，相传古时松洋人兄弟三人分家，排行老二的一支迁居此地，因而得名“中房”。[5]

宋代此地隶属常熟、崇德两乡；明至清末划归化一、化二、丰上、丰下四里。民国时期区划多次更动。[5]

解放初，此地归第二区管辖；1955年改为中房区。1958年5月区级建制撤销，并乡之后设中房乡，当年9月人民公社随之建立。[1][5]

1984年9月，公社体制改回乡镇，中房一带重新称作中房乡；至1992年10月，中房乡升格为镇，即今中房镇。[1][5]

地理环境[edit]

镇址位于县境西北，东面与起步镇比邻，南面紧挨洪洋乡，西面连着飞竹镇，北面与古田县大甲乡相接。[6]

各书所记镇域面积不一：罗源县行政区划一览列为131.12平方千米，博雅地名网作约137平方千米，百度百科作132.10平方千米。本条目取县一览所列的数字。[1][4][6]

镇境多山，平均海拔约500米。主要河流有中房溪、百丈溪；飞仙岩是中房溪、起步溪、寿桥溪等水系的发源地。[1][6][11]

人口与民族[edit]

两种统计并存：百度百科载截至2019年末户籍人口为23894人，维基百科载2021年常住人口为9133人，二者分属户籍与常住两类口径。[6][7]

镇内有畲汉两族聚居的村落，如下湖村、王沙村。[12]

经济[edit]

镇域以农业和林业为主，水稻、甘薯、茶叶是主要作物，蘑菇、香菇等食用菌也有种植。[4]

竹木资源丰富，村中有竹制品加工厂，石材加工也有一定规模，大园、中房等村是石材的原料产地与加工地。[16][17]

文物古迹[edit]

陈太尉宫位于乾溪村，始建于五代后梁开平三年（909年），原为陈氏宗祠，历代扩建重修，现存建筑兼有宋、明、清三代的特征。该宫为全国文物保护单位，据维基百科，2001年6月经国务院认定。[2][8][9]

中房林氏祖厅旗杆林位于林家村，祖厅前立有石旗杆18对，为明清两代所立，是福建省第八批省级文物保护单位。[10][16]

飞仙岩位于东山村西南约三公里处，为花岗岩山体，主峰海拔1104.6米，是罗源西北部的重要分水岭。[11][13]

满盾村内建有满盾阻击战纪念公园，厚富村有红军医院旧址，都是革命时期的遗迹。[14][15]
