起步村是福建省福州市罗源县起步镇下辖的行政村，位于起步溪畔，是起步镇人民政府所在地[1][4]。村名与镇名相同，镇以村为驻地[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1950年，此地设起步乡，属一区（城关）；1958年撤区设社，村分出成立起步大队，归起步公社；1961年区建制恢复，改属起步区；1965年区建制再次撤销，村仍归起步公社[1][3]。

“文革”期间大队由革命委员会主持；此后恢复大队管委会名称，1984年建为村委会[1]。

历史人文与建筑[edit]

村中留有明清时期古建筑，如进水宫、长沙王庙等，规模较大[2]。境内的娘娘岩，博雅地名网称为罗源八景之一[2]。每年农历正月十三，村中举办迎神活动[2]。

教育[edit]

1958年，罗源二中在本村创建[2]。

产业[edit]

改革开放后，村中发展绿色蔬菜，食用菌与花卉生产不断扩大[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年8月，起步村被确定为「罗源县第四轮第二批（2020年）“平安村（社区）”」[1]。

福建省农业农村厅于2022年10月将起步村认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」[1]。

起步村于2022年12月获福建省爱国卫生运动委员会授予「2022年福建省卫生村」称号[1]。
