历史沿革[edit]
1952年，此地析出设立洋北乡，属一区（起步）；1955年改属岐余区[1][3]。1958年撤区改社，洋北一带另设大队，归起步公社；1961年区建制恢复，改属起步区；1965年区建制再次撤销，村仍归起步公社[1][3]。
“文革”时期大队由革命委员会主持；1983年起恢复管委会名称，1984年建为村委会[1]。
建筑景观[edit]
村中保存有清代古民居，并有林氏宗祠和于氏宗祠两座祠堂[2]。村中另有古庙，已改建，庙中存有古钟[2]。
物产[edit]
村中产业以食用菌为主，秀珍菇为主要品种；村中另有林竹、花卉等种植[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2021年8月，洋北村被确定为「罗源县第四轮第二批（2020年）“平安村（社区）”」[1]。
洋北村于2024年1月获命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」[1]。
