八井村位于罗源湾开发区西面，背山临海，是一个纯畲族行政村，也是老区基点村[1]。据罗源县政府网站2025年7月的介绍，村子距县城约十公里，村子已有六百余年历史，全村共155户、730人[2]。
村名的来历：据罗源县政府网站，相传南宋时本地官绅陈显伯为解决饮水困难在此打井，村名先叫陈拜井，后简称伯井；宋至清代村中共凿八口井，1950年代初，畲民将村名改为八井[2]。博雅地名网则记作「伯」与「八」方言同音，因而写作「八井」[1]。
畲族文化[edit]
八井畲医畲药于2008年进入国家级非遗代表性项目名录[1]。八井拳是畲家拳的典型代表，传自明成化年间迁居八井的雷氏，2007年8月，它被列入「福建省第二批省级非物质文化遗产名录」[3]。
村内的八井畲族文旅小镇景区设有畲族文化民俗展示馆，展馆分设「畲族历史记忆馆」「畲族技艺传承馆」和「畲风畲艺文创馆」三部分；畲乡里民宿由三栋古厝改建而成[2]。据政府网站所述，八井是畲族迁徙入闽的第一站，1956年在畲族成分识别的调查工作中，八井位列首批三个调查点[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2025年3月，八井村被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」；2025年5月，入选「福建省美丽乡村示范村」创建名单；2021年11月，省级爱卫部门授予「2021年福建省卫生村」一项[1]。
